About Kyatchi Bags

Kyatchi bags was born from a simple but powerful vision — to build a bag brand that proudly comes out of the North East.

Our journey began in September 2023, when two colleagues, Tonmoy Pathak and Rupom Ali, decided to stop talking about “someday” and start building something of their own. What started as shared conversations about creating value, employment, and pride for the people of the region soon turned into action.

Like many new brands, we began with third-party manufacturing in Delhi and Kolkata. But repeated struggles with inconsistent quality and long delivery timelines made one thing clear: if we wanted to build a brand we could stand behind, we had to take control ourselves.

So we did.

We built our own in-house manufacturing, where every bag is designed, stitched, checked, and finished under our direct supervision. Because for us, quality isn’t a feature — it’s a promise.
